Objective

Kite Singleton has been an active leader in the Kansas City community since returning in 1965 from apprenticeship abroad, with a special passion for the growing prosperity of Kansas City's urban center. Recognizing the important role of public transit in the urban center he has traveled extensively to research the subject, written essays, published articles and given public presentations on what he has seen other cities do in using transit to maintain and renew their vigor in the urban center. He is now part of a team of consultants working with citizen leaders to reach consensus on transit investment in Kansas City. In residential development he has produced several proposals in urban neighborhoods and undertaken his own development with new homes in Kansas City's old Westport area.
